Chairman of Asari Toru LGA Odiari Princewill is dead. According to sources the council boss died last night after a strange ailment. Unconfirmed reports suggest the LGA boss may have died from the dreaded COVID-19.
Sources also say the deceased has been buried at the Port Harcourt Cemetery as ordered by the Government of Rivers State. The chairman who has been ill for sometime now was allegedly receiving treatment until his death. He reportedly died at about 10 pm on Wednesday, according to one source.
Meanwhile, residents have expressed shock over the death of the outspoken council boss, who was a true loyalist of Governor Wike.
Odeari until his demise, worked tirelessly for the development of Asaru-Toru and the state at large, a devastated council staff noted.
Following the death of the council boss, Rivers State may witness the emergence of the first female Local Government Chairman as Odeari’s deputy is a woman. She is expected to take over as Chairperson of the council according to extant laws.
Chief Odiari did not die from covid 19 diesease he was not supose to buried like a comon muslim he is a well known chief and a prince of elem-kalabari.
