In view of the collapse of a 2-storey building in Port Harcourt Today, the Rivers State Government has ordered the immediate arrest of the construction Engineer of the collapsed building for proper investigation.
Secretary to the state government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo who made this known in a statement today, said an investigative panel has also been constituted to look into the immediate and remote cause of the building collapse, as well as bring everyone culpable to book.
He stated that the government also ordered the immediate closure of the construction site as he warned professionals in the building sector to comply strictly with all neccesary regulations.
