A National Commissioner at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, has assumed office as the Acting Chairman of the Commission.
This development follows the formal handover of duties by the outgoing Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, who is proceeding on terminal leave.
The announcement was made on Tuesday at the INEC headquarters in Abuja during a stakeholders’ meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).
