The self-styled Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, has been arrested following a bench warrant issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Adeyemi was apprehended on Tuesday afternoon, shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar ordered his arrest for failing to appear in court for his scheduled arraignment.
The judge granted the application for a bench warrant after the defendant was absent when the case was called.
Adeyemi is facing charges bordering on alleged conspiracy, forgery and impersonation. His arrest came just hours after the court directed law enforcement authorities to produce him before the court.
