Former Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Mao Ohuabunwa, has been announced as the new factional Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His emergence follows the dissolution of the Adolphus Wabara-led BoT by a faction within the party loyal to the newly-appointed Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Muhammad.
The development further highlights the deepening internal crisis within the PDP as different blocs continue to assert control over key leadership structures of the opposition party.
