A suit seeking to disqualify all candidates of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State from contesting the 2023 election has been dismissed by a Federal high court sitting in Port Harcourt.
The All Progressives Congress in the state had approached the court to disqualify all candidates of the PDP including its governorship candidate Simininalaye Fubara over non compliance to the new Electorial Act.
APC in the suit claimed that PDP delayed to forward the register containing the names of their candidates to the INEC within the 30 days required by the new law.
