Andy Burnham officially became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on Monday after meeting King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, succeeding Keir Starmer as the country’s new leader.
Following the audience with the King, Burnham was expected to unveil his vision for Britain as he formally assumed office, marking the start of a new administration.
Earlier, Starmer departed 10 Downing Street after delivering a farewell address in which he defended his record during his two years in office.
