There is a fire outbreak around the Abonema wharf axis of Port Harcourt.
An Eyewitness who shared clips of the inferno on social media, said there is panic in the area due to the incident.
He noted that some persons, have been doing their best to put out the fire, while awaiting the arrival of officials of the state Fire Service.
Though the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, sources alleged that activities of illegal oil refiners may have caused it.

Gov. Wike had in a statement ordered Council Chairmen to end illegal oil refining activities in their areas.
