Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Hon. David Irimagha has commended Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for lifting the curfew placed on the LGA owing to COVID-19.
The council boss in a statement yesterday said the lifting of the ban was a welcome development. He also stated that the curfew was a blessing in disguise as it reduced the rate of criminal activities in the area, due to the presence of security personnel.
Irimagha warned criminal elements in the area to desist from such acts as the council will deal decisively with anyone caught perpetrating violent activities.
