The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Abinye Blessing Pepple, has constituted committees to oversee the distribution of palliatives and flood relief materials and advise on educational development in the area.
The development was announced in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Bonny Local Government Council, Amb. Wisdom Chapp-Jumbo, on Friday, October 2, 2026.
The Palliative and Flood Relief Materials Distribution Committee, chaired by the Chief of Staff, Elder Promise Bristol, is tasked with coordinating and supervising the distribution of relief materials provided by the Rivers State Government to ensure an organised and transparent process.
Other members of the committee are Hon. Fubara Willie Pepple as alternate chairman, Mrs. Priscillia F. Jumbo as secretary, and Mrs. Tagba Abusi Green, Miss Sotonye Hart, Mrs. Becky Halliday and Comr. Tonye Princewill Jackmay as members.
Similarly, the council chairman constituted the Local Government Education Committee, chaired by the Supervisor for Education, Hon. Sofiri Benneth Pepple.
The committee is expected to advise the council chairman on measures to improve educational administration and development in Bonny Local Government Area.
Its members include Mrs. Dabota Clara Minaibim Pepple as alternate chairman, Comr. Princess Pepple Ada as secretary, and Mrs. Kiriya LongJohn, Mrs. Bernice Tolofari, Comr. God’swill Lawson Jumbo and Comr. Omie Tolofari as members.
