Some Traders at the Bishop Okoye, Mile 3 market in Diobu, Port Harcourt, have said that they lost goods worth millions of naira, when fire gutted the market few days ago.
Chairman of the market, Uche Okeke and some traders made this known in a chat with news correspondents, yesterday.
The traders noted that they also lost goods to hoodlums, who were on rampage on the day of the incident.
Okeke said the Police who were on the scene of the inferno could do nothing to stop the hoodlums from carting away their goods and money.
He, on behalf of the traders called on the state government to assist them to get back to business, as most of the goods were taken on credit.
