A herbalist identified as Ogbonnah who was arrested in connection with the beheading of a 9-year-old boy, Master, Peter Detiny in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, has denied any involvement in the crime.
According to Spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni the suspect was arrested by officers in his house on Thursday.
This was after one of the two suspects earlier arrested, confessed upon interrogation that it was Ogbonnah who asked them to bring a human head for him to buy.
But, Ogbonnah in a chat with journalists denied the allegation, stating that he only sold spiritual materials to them.
Meanwhile, the Police in Rivers has appealed for calm, assuring that the matter will be properly investigated and justice served.
