The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has denied rumours making the rounds that he ordered NBC not to air the ongoing BBNaija reality show.
Lai in a statement by his media aide, Segun Adeyemi denied issuing such a directive.
The aide said : “That statement is not credited to the minister. We will not dignify speculative reports; if a minister issues a directive, it will not be issued verbally. “There’s going to be a memo to that effect.”
Adeyemi, called on anyone that is sure the minister made such a statement to provide a memo.
There were reports few days ago that the minister had ordered NBC to stop organisers of the reality show from airing the show live over fears of spreading the COVID-19.
