The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Effiong Okon, has directed that the new born baby who was discovered at a waste receptacle at the Mile 3 axis of Diobu be handed over to the motherless baby home under the Ministry of Social Welfare in Borokiri.
The CP gave the directive shortly after Prince Wiro of the Centre for Basic Rights and Accountability Campaign, raised an alarm over the discovery of the child by Comrade Godstime Ihunwo, Chief Security Officer of Mile 3 Diobu.
We gathered that the baby has been named as ‘Chizindu.’
