The Rivers State Police Command has ordered an investigation into the attack on Director-General of the Atiku/Okowa campaign council in Rivers State, Abiye Sekibo.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command, Grace Iringi-Koko who made this known in a statement said it received a distress call at about 2am on Friday about the attack on Abiye Sekibo by suspected thugs along the Rainbow axis of Port-Harcourt.
According to her, the command immediately mobilized officers to the scene but, the thugs fled before they arrived.
She said the command would ensure the arrest and prosecution of the suspects.
