The Police in Rivers State has confirmed that one person was killed when cultists invaded Abaripo community in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP, Grace Koko confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday.
According to her, the state commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka has ordered an investigation into the incident, and that efforts are on to track the suspects.
“Only one person died. A manhunt has begun to apprehend the culprits and bring them to book. But as we speak, investigation is ongoing and normalcy has been restored in the area,” she stated.
The incident comes days after a suspected cultist, popularly known as Baddo, was killed in one of the communities in the LGA.
