The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has reacted to the attack on suppporters of presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar by hoodlums in the state.
Some Supporters of Atiku were on Sunday attacked with guns and machetes while pasting posters of the PDP candidate in Omuma local government area of the state on Sunday.
Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Darlington Nwauju in a statement on Monday called on security operatives to storm the area and ensure the arrest and prosecution of all those involved in the act.
He described Omuma as flashpoint for political violence, and called on the Police to ensure adequate security of lives and properties in the area.
He noted that people have the right to support whoever they want and that pasting posters of preferred candidates is no crime.
Nwauju, had in a statement alleged that one of the Legacies of Gov. Nyesom Wike is Empowering scoundrels, adding that evil thrives when good men keep quiet.
