Former Rivers federal lawmaker, Sen. Olaka Wogu has described as false reports that Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar offered to support Wike for president in 2027.
There were reports that Atiku promised to support Wike in 2027 when they met on Thursday in Abuja to find a lasting solution to problems rocking the party.
Wogu, in a chat with Punch, said talks were still ongoing between both parties to see if an agreement could be reached ahead of next year’s election.
“Talks are still ongoing between them and I know that there will be continued talks between them,” he said.
On Atiku promising to support Wike in 2027 he said, “There is nothing like that. I told you that talks are still ongoing between them. I won’t lie to you, but I cannot disclose the content of the meeting; the idea is to find whether they can reach an agreement,” he added.
