The Rivers State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has urged its members to mobilize for the upcoming protest in solidarity with the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
The union in a statement Today, said the take off point for the protest is at its State secretariat at Igbukwu Street in D/line Port Harcourt.
It also said take off time for the protest which holds on Tuesday is 8:00am.
The statement urged Chairmen and Secretaries of the various Unions to adhere strictly to the directive.
The protest by NLC is in solidarity with the striking members of ASUU and other unions.
Meanwhile the Federal Government has described the planned protest by NLC as illegal.
