The Asari-Toru Local Government has announced a ban on all forms of public gatherings within the Local Government Area.
The Executive Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Onengiyeofori George, DSSRS in a statement signed by the Honourable Supervisor for Information and Communications, John Paul Braide, on Thursday in Buguma, said the ban includes outdoor religious gathering, all forms of social, traditional, political and other public gatherings in the LGA.
The statement, however, said that permission must be sought, obtained and expressly approved by the Council 24 hours before the event.
The Chairman, therefore, enjoined the public to strictly comply with the directives, as violators would face the full wrath of the law.
This announcement is in the best public interest and safety as the ban takes immediate effect.
Signed:
John Paul Braide
Honourable Supervisor for Information and Communications
