House of Assembly candidate for Asari Toru Constituency 11 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Okorinama West popularly known as Shaggy has alleged that 49 out of 51 BIVAS machines were hijacked during last saturday’s elections.
West, who made this known in a statement at the weekend also raised an alarm over alleged plans by the ruling party to hijack election materials during this saturday’s Governorship and House Assembly elections in the state
He said, he has been reliably informed that he will be arrested alongside some of his supporters before saturday’s election, even if he secures a restraining order for the Police not to arrest him.
He called on the Police not to be bias and also called on the international community to come to his aide as he has done nothing wrong.
Meanwhile, his legal team has said that they will resist every attempt to illegal arrest their client before, during and after the elections.
