A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chukwuemeka Eze has called on Governor Nyesom Wike to apologise to Rivers people for endangering their lives.
Eze who made this known in a statement on Tuesday, said the Governor has turned the state to a “laughing stock,” with his recent actions.
He said Wike’s hypocrisy and carelessness is the reason the state, has recorded high number of COVID-19 infections.
“Now that the deadly virus is rapidly and menacingly attacking Rivers State and her people, Governor Nyesom Wike should apologize to Nigerians for endangering lives. It has become imperative, stressing that the State under his watch has turned a laughingstock”.
He slammed the Governor for donating over N700 million to Benue and Sokoto states, whereas he has failed to ameliorate the pains of victims, of similar disasters in his own state.
