The All Progressives Congress (APC) has replaced Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as Chairman of the party’s 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari to head the committee instead.
Uzodimma, who was earlier named to lead the committee, will now serve as its treasurer following the latest restructuring.
As part of the changes, the party also expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 members to accommodate additional stakeholders.
The new entrants include Senator Barry Mpigi and several other senior APC chieftains.
The adjustment is seen as part of the party’s broader efforts to strengthen preparations and widen participation ahead of the 2026 national convention
