The National leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to alleged attacks on its members in Rivers state by suspected thugs.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka in a statement condemned the incident, describing it as barbaric.
He said the attack is part of plots to frustrate the party in the state from challenging the outcome of the governorship election in the state.
He called on the Police to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to book.
“While we commend the swift response of security agencies, especially the police and the Nigerian Army in restoring peace and order, we call on the Inspector General of Police to order an investigation into this and previous incidents of violent attacks on leaders and members of our party in Rivers State and to bring the sponsors and perpetrators to justice,” he said.
