A protester who was allegedly shot in the leg by police officers attached to Tonye Cole during yesterday’s protest is dead.
Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Rivers State, Sydney Gbara made this known in a statement in Port Harcourt Today.
According to him, the protester died in the hospital Today, where he was receiving treatment.
Gbara, who condemned the incident called for the arrest of Tonye Cole over the death of the protester.
Meanwhile, Tonye Cole has denied the claims noting that security officers attached to him never shot anyone yesterday.
He accused chairman of Ikwerre local government area, Samuel Nwanosike and Deputy Speaker of the RSHA Edison Ehie of masterminding the attack.
