The National Vice Chairman, South-South of the APC, Hillard Eta who is standing in for Acting Chairman of the Party, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi has alleged that some unidentified thugs were allegedly being sent to Abuja from Port Harcourt to burn down the National secretariat of the party.
Eta who made the allegation in a statement today, said he has equally received death threats from unknown persons. He alleged that those behind the plot want to burn down the secretariat so people will believe it was done by the National Working Committee because they do not want Victor Giadom to takeover.
He said, “They have two intentions, that is number one. Number two is that they are going to make an attempt on my life. I just thought that I should let the press know this.
“I am just moving out of my house, I’m coming to the secretariat from there I will report to the police.”
There have been crises over who leads the APC following the suspension of Adams Oshiomole.
While the NWC had declared Ajimobi the acting chairman of the party, Giadom on his part, secured a court injunction declaring him acting chairman of the party.
