World heavyweight boxing star, Anthony Joshua, was on Tuesday involved in a road accident in Makun area of Ogun State.
The incident reportedly occurred along a busy stretch of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, where the vehicle conveying the boxer collided with another car under circumstances that are yet to be determined.
An eyewitness, who also participated in rescue efforts and spoke with PUNCH Online, said Joshua sustained minor injuries, while two occupants of the other vehicle reportedly died at the scene.
Following the incident, fans and supporters have taken to social media to express concern over the boxer’s safety.
Meanwhile, security agencies and other relevant authorities have commenced investigations to establish the cause of the crash. Further updates on Joshua’s condition are expected.
