The Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara has vowed to immediately revoke the contract for the construction of the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo unity Road.
Fubara made this known when he visited the area to inspect the level of work done.
According to him, it is disheartening that despite paying almost the entire contract sum for the construction of the Andoni section of the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro unity road, the construction firm has not done beyond 45% of the project.
“We shall immediately revoke the contract in order to make progress,” he said.
The governor was accompanied by the Honorable Commissioner , Rivers State Ministry of Works, Dr. Dax George-Kelly and the chairman of Andoni LGA, Hon Barr Erastus Awortu.
