Senator, Magnus Ngei Abe has said that he was not an employee of the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi when he held sway as Governor of Rivers State.

Abe who made this known while reacting to reports from some quarters that he was Amaechi’s employee, said they were both employees of the State.

He said Amaechi as a Governor was an employee of the state, just as he was also an employee of the state, as Secretary to the State Government, during Amaechi’s regime.

He stated that though Amaechi was his boss and someone he respects a lot, he was not his staff.

“…Hon. Rotimi Amaechi was my Boss, and I respect him, and I have always respected him. But I was not his staff. And I am not his employee.

We were both employees of Rivers State Government. As a Governor, he was an employee of the Government, I, as Secretary to Government, was an employee of the Government. And the owners of the Government, are our employers…” he added.
