A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers state, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has said that former minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi remains the leader of the party in the state.

Eze in a statement on Tuesday said Amaechi has not resigned from the APC to create room for new leadership.

According to him Magnus Abe and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike were behind the issues that almost ruined the party in the state, adding that it appears both men are in contest over who would lead the party.

“Amaechi has not resigned his membership of the party to create room for new leadership structure,” he said.
