Former Rivers Governor and current Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi has reiterated that there was nothing wrong in the sovereignty clause regarding the loans secured from the Chinese government.
The minister who made this known while appearing on Channels Television’s program, “Politics Today” yesterday, said there was nothing wrong with Nigeria ceding her sovereignty to China.
He said the Chinese loans are the cheapest loans the country can get from any nation and that the sovereignty they ceded to China is not the sovereignty that makes Nigeria a nation.
He said the same way commercial banks will ask you for collateral before giving you loan, is the same thing the Chinese government has done with the loans given to Nigeria.
