Akpor OSPAC Denies Assaulting Driver, Accuses Him of Drug Peddling

The Akpor OSPAC in Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, has denied assaulting a commercial bus driver at Ogbogoro yesterday.

Vice Chairman of the local vigilante group, David Amadi in a chat with journalists said they never had any scuffle with the driver.

He accused the driver of drug peddling and called on the Police and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to investigate him.

He also called on residents to be vigilante and report any suspicious movement to security agencies.

A commercial driver yesterday, alleged that he was assaulted by some members of the group, despite not committing any crime.

He called on the Police to arrest those involved and ensure justice is served in the matter.
