Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio has revealed where he got the two hundred million naira he gave to former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike in 2014.
Wike, had during his thanksgiving service in Port Harcourt on Sunday, said Akpabio supported him with the said sum when he was about contesting as governor in 2014.
Reacting, Akpabio said the money he gave to Wike was from his savings in the telecom industry where he was a managing director.
“The money I gave to Wike in 2014 when he was running for Governor was from my savings in the telecoms industry where I was a managing director, It was not from the government of Akwa Ibom State,” he said.
