Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, says among the faculties that will be taken out of the main campus of the Rivers State University to the newly constructed campuses, Ahoada local government area, got the best.
Wike disclosed this during the flag off ceremony for the construction of the Ahoada campus of the Rivers State University in Ekpeye on Wednesday.
He said the faculty of Humanities will be moved to the campus when completed, as he noted that if he had not gone to University, he would have attended the one at Ahoada.
“Among all the faculties that will be taken out of the main campus of Rivers State University to rural areas Ahoada got the best,” he said.
“I know some of you don’t know what it means to have the faculty of Humanities in Ahoada. Let me tell you, that’s where the school life is, you will see enjoyment. You will see fine fine girls in the theatre arts and film department,” he added.
He further explained that the Ekpeye people deserve the best from him because the wife they gave him has been a blessing.
“I would not have been giving you good projects if your daughter and sister was giving me trouble in the house. Because you gave me a good wife, I am also giving you good projects,” Wike also said.
Why didn’t he provide hostel for the students moving to Ahaoda
