The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said that any agreement reached between the Nigeria Governors Forum and Striking workers of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, is not binding on the state government.
The Governor, who made this known during the inauguration of the Senate Building of the Rivers State University, said NGF cannot reach an agreement on behalf of the state, without consulting him.
He said no one consulted the state government on the matter, therefore, such agreement cannot be obeyed by the State.
Wike, also explained that the State Government has implemented financial autonomy for the legislature and Judiciary, and that the judiciary has collected first and second quarters of their capital fund.
