Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has taken a swipe at former federal lawmaker, Sen. Lee Maeba stating that he was a cook when he(Wike) had his first degree.
Wike and Lee were political allies before things went sour after Atiku Abubakar won the PDP presidential primary and Lee declared his support for him against Wike’s wish.
Speaking, during the commissioning of the dualized Bori-Kono road in Khana local government area of the state Today, Wike said Lee is bitter because he was denied the party’s governorship ticket, adding that he never promised him the ticket.
According to him, Lee has done nothing for his people despite receiving $13.5 billion dollars from oil block contracts.
He said other parties are complaining that he took them to court, despite dragging the PDP to court, noting that they would continue to make them sweat as it is important to test the position of the law for growth.
He blasted other political parties for taking a swipe at judges when they lose cases but, hail them whenever judgements go in their favor.
Wike revealed that he has been fighting legal battles since he became a council chairman, and that he abuses nobody whenever he is taken to court unlike others.
He urged the people of Khana to vote for candidates of the party in the state in next year’s general election.
