The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State has unveiled the leadership structure of its Governorship Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections, with Senator Andrew Uchendu appointed as chairman.
The party also appointed Hon. Chimbiko Akarolo as Director-General of the Campaign Council, alongside vice chairmen, deputy directors-general, directorate leaders, department heads and other officials.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, the Rivers State ADC Chairman, Chief (Engr.) Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, FNSE, said the council comprises experienced political leaders, professionals, grassroots organisers, women, youths and other stakeholders.
Dimkpa said the council members would be responsible for coordinating and administering campaign activities across the 23 local government areas of the state.
He congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, discipline, integrity, mutual respect and accountability.
The ADC chairman further disclosed that the complete membership of the council’s 12 directorates would be published separately, with two directorates announced daily, beginning Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
He explained that members whose names were not included in the initial leadership announcement should await the publication of their respective directorates.
Dimkpa urged all appointees to work harmoniously within the approved campaign council structure, describing their appointments as a call to service.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to its vision of “BUILDING THE RIVERS WE DESERVE.”
