Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Abel Solomon Eke has reacted to the allegation by the Chairperson of NLC in the state, Beatrice Itubor.

The NLC Chair had suggested that Eke sent thugs to attack and stop them from holding their meeting at their temporary office at Rumuagholu. She said the thugs attacked them and drove them out of the premises. They were then forced to hold the meeting at another venue.

Solomon Eke in a statement yesterday said the accusations were false as he never sent thugs to attack the members of the NLC. He said the allegations were cooked up to smear his name.
