Spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Koko says the state Commissioner of Police, Okon Effiong has ordered fresh deployment including special units to comb the forests in search of kidnapped corp members and their abductors.
DSP. Koko disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
According to her, no information has been received for now on their whereabout, adding that they are on top of the situation.
“No information has been received for now. But the CP has ordered fresh deployment, including special units to comb the bushes and forest,” he said.
“This is in addition to the earlier tactical team mobilised to find the corps members as well as apprehend the kidnappers and make them face justice.
“We are on top of the situation but we will not disclose our strategy, we are hopeful,” he added.
