The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially released its 2027 election timetable, pegging its presidential nomination form at N100 million and scheduling its presidential primary for May 25, 2026.
Speaking on the development, party spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi said the timetable reflects the party’s commitment to “internal democracy, orderliness, and strict compliance with the Electoral Act.”
According to the schedule released by the party, sale of forms will run from May 5 to May 10, while submission closes on May 13. Screening of aspirants is slated for May 14 and 15, with the final list of cleared candidates expected on May 20.
The party also fixed ward-level primaries for legislative positions on May 21, followed by governorship primaries on May 22, and the presidential primary on May 25.
In addition, the ADC set nomination fees at N50 million for governorship aspirants, N20 million for Senate, N10 million for House of Representatives, and N3 million for State House of Assembly seats.
The party also announced concessions, offering a 50 per cent discount for youths, while women and persons with disabilities will receive a 25 per cent reduction in nomination fees.
A Special National Convention is scheduled for May 27 to ratify all candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
