A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt has remanded 21 suspected IPOB members arrested by the Police for allegedly unleashing mayhem in Oyigbo LGA.
Chief Magistrate A O. Amadi Nna remanded the accused persons to the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre and directed the matter be transferred to the Department of Public Prosecution for legal advise.
The judge said his court lacks competent jurisdiction to entertain the matter and advised counsel to the defendants to approach the High Court and seek bail for their clients. He then adjourned the case to December 29.
The arraigned persons are facing a three-count charge bothering on terrorism, cultism and unlawful gathering.
