Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Obi has blasted popular singer, Banky W over his decision to contest for a Federal seat in 2023.
Obi, in a statement shortly after Banky W’s declaration, said Nigeria needs real politicians and not someone who changes profession everyday.
According to him, politics is not popularity contest as Nigerians are serious about the country.
He advised the multiple award winning musician to step down from the race and allow serious minded politicians fix the nation.
Part of his statement reads,
Anywhere breeze blow you dey there. Today pastor, tomorrow artist, next tomorrow politician. Next week deliverance ministry, next month new single on the way. ABEG! We need real politicians.
This is not a popularity contest. We are serious about our country, Nigeria is on the verge of getting on the path of greatness, we need solid men that are willing to loose it all for this nation to work and work well. The work ahead is not for the weak hearts No be now I go talk.
