The Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers has thrown its weight behind the preferred candidates of Governor Nyesom Wike in the forthcoming elections.

King Jaja of Opobo, Dandison Douglas made this known on behalf of the traditional rulers during a meeting with the state governor in Port Harcourt on Monday

The monarch who commended Wike for his achievements in the state, also cautioned politicians against perpetrating violence before, during and after the elections.

The monarchs expressed their main concern being the peace of the state after the elections, warning that the election is not worth the blood of anybody.

Gov. Wike, his deputy, Ipalibo Harry-Banigo; and Siminialayi Fubara, the PDP flagbearer graced the occassion.
