Spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Solomon Lenu has warned Adhoc staff who will conduct Saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Lenu, in a statement Today, said Adhoc staff who are willing to go against the electoral act should better stay clear of the election for their own safety.
His statement reads,
As an INEC ad-hoc staff for next Saturday’s Election, it is better for you not to participate in the process “IF” anyone gives you an instructions to go against the electoral act, & you know you cannot disregard such order because you’ve been compromised.
This admonition is expedient for your own personal safety. Because the anger in the minds of the masses has made them reach terrible decisions should anyone attempt a repeat of what happened last Saturday or anything sinister. so since you the ad-hoc staff are mostly our brothers & sisters, it is important I give you this brief for your own good.
What is bad is bad & aiding the rigging of an election is even terrible. But it is more easier to do the right things. So let’s save our lives & also save our future come March 11th by doing the right things regardless of the inducement by the evil politicians.
May Yahweh bless you all as you hearken to these 2¢ of mine.
