Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has said that some persons seeking to contest the 2023 presidential election under the People’s Democratic Party, are agents of the All Progressives Congress.
Wike, who said this during a live TV interview in Port Harcourt, Today, said he cannot support such persons.
The governor, explained that he does not want to contest election just to answer former presidential candidate. “Is that a CV?Even if it is a CV, I don’t want it,” he said.
He also said choosing a presidential candidate will not be easy, as it will cause disagreements, but they will get through it.
“Let nobody come and tell you that in arriving at a presidential candidate that it will be easy. No way, it can never be. You know, there are two types of turbulences. There is turbulence that will not have a crash, which is a normal turbulence. There are turbulences that there is likely to be a crash.”
“Our own turbulence in PDP is the normal turbulence, which I believe we will get through it, but APC turbulence is a turbulence that is likely to lead to a crash,” he added.
