Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Sen. Magnus Abe has advised Rivers people and Nigerians against destroying properties due to the cash crunch currently witnessed across the country.
Abe, in a chat with journalists yesterday, appealed to Nigerians to remain calm as violence is not the solution to the problems.
He said the challenges are just for the moment as things would get better in no time.
Sen. Abe also alleged that there are efforts to prevent members of the SDP in the state from campaigning freely. He said they are been arrested, intimidated and harassed by security operatives.
He revealed that some members of the party were arrested few days ago, charged to court and remanded in prison custody without proper investigation.
According to him, freedom is under threat in the state and called on Rivers people not to be perturbed by the antics of those who do not mean well for the state.
He urged people of the state to vote for the party as he has what it takes to transform the state and put money in their pockets.
