Former Vice President and presidential aspirant, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar says if elected President of the country, his administration would prevent frequent strike in the education sector.
Atiku, disclosed this when he met stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State on Saturday, ahead of the party’s primaries.
He also promised to put an end to stealing of public funds, adding that the current administration has been unable to end stealing of public funds.
Part of his statement reads,
“I will make sure that our educational system is very well looked after. Today we have all our public universities closed down for several months.”
“Our children have been out of school. Not because we have not instituted institutions during PDP to make sure there is enough funding for these institutions.
“But because they are stealing the money. I will make sure nobody steals public money, I swear.
“After dealing with education, we can now look at restructuring the country.”
