Former governor of Rivers State and current minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi says he is the best candidate to govern the country in 2023.
Amaechi, disclosed this when he visited the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, in Government House, Katsina, on Tuesday.
According to him, if he could govern Rivers State during the time militancy was ravaging the Niger Delta, then, he is the best candidate to be elected President in 2023.
The former River governor also stated that if he becomes the Presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, security and the economy will improve.
“…I am qualified and I am the only candidate who has governed a State when there was militancy and within one year it reduced drastically. Companies who left the State due to high level of insecurity returned, Shell Petroleum Company reopened and normalcy returned to the State,” he said.
“As Rivers Governor, I was able to tackle insecurity, I championed development and stabilized the Rivers economy, such feat would be replicated if elected for the country’s topmost job,” he added.
