AFRNIFERE, pan-Yoruba socio- organisation, has denied supporting Presidential Candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi.
Jare Ajayi, National Publicity Secretary of the organization in a statement on Sunday said the information is false.
According to him, the Twitter account that was quoted does not belong to leader of the group, Chief Adebanjo, adding that their leader has no social media account.
“It is hereby being clearly stated that Chief Adebanjo has no social media account of any sort, be it Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc, he said.
“Whenever he has anything to say to the public, he does so directly by addressing the press, through an interview or a press statement. He also addresses the public through the Secretary General or the National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere,” he added.
Recall that a Twitter account allegedly belonging to the Organizations leader had declared support for Peter Obi’s presidential bid.
