National Coordinator of National AIDS and STDs Control Programme (NASCP) of the federal Ministry of Health, Dr Adebobola Bashorun, has said that 19 million Nigerians are living with Hepatitis.

Bashorun disclosed this during a press briefing organised by the ministry to commemorate this year’s World Hepatitis Day on Friday in Abuja.

The theme of this year’s commemoration is “One life, one liver.”

Hepatitis is a disease that causes an inflammation or damage of the tissues of the liver.
